Last checked: October 9, 2026. Spoiler note: this guide includes plot details from Show TV’s Episode 17 promotions.

Muhtemel Aşk, also known internationally as Possible Love, returned to Show TV with its seventeenth episode on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The official preview places Kadir, Defne and Tamer in a tense airport situation, while a family secret involving Ali and Tolga threatens to spill out at a wedding. This article brings together the confirmed episode story, the connection to Episode 16, the main cast and the current English-subtitle status. It is an episode guide based on Show TV’s public synopsis and promotions, not a scene-by-scene recap of the full broadcast.

Episode 17 at a glance

Show TV’s official Episode 17 story update and episode promotions confirm the central conflicts described below.

What happens in Muhtemel Aşk Episode 17?

Kadir follows Defne as she prepares to leave

The episode’s most immediate tension comes from Defne’s planned departure with Tamer. Show TV’s written preview says Kadir follows Defne to the airport to stop her from going to Paris. Their confrontation raises the jealousy between Kadir and Tamer and leaves Defne facing another difficult choice.

There is a small but relevant difference between the broadcaster’s promotional materials: the written preview and photo gallery refer to Paris, while the second trailer describes Tamer and Defne boarding a flight to America before Kadir intervenes. Both versions place the conflict at the airport and show Kadir trying to stop their departure. Until the full episode settles the detail, this guide avoids presenting the destination as certain.

Güliz’s visit changes the pressure on Kadir and Defne

Kadir and Defne’s relationship is not the only story moving forward. The official synopsis identifies Güliz’s unexpected visit as a major test and says the decision she makes will change Kadir and Defne’s lives. The promotion does not explain the full decision, so its impact remains a question for viewers rather than a detail to guess.

That visit arrives while Kadir and Defne are already confronting their shared past. It could force them to deal with issues they have been avoiding, but the confirmed point is simply that Güliz’s arrival and choice matter to both of them.

Kader’s gift opens a long-hidden secret

A second mystery begins with a birthday present. Kader sends Ali a mysterious gift, and Show TV says it opens the door to a secret that has been hidden for years. This thread connects the younger character to the adults’ past and gives the episode a family mystery alongside its romantic conflict.

The exact contents of the gift and the secret it reveals are not fully detailed in the official preview. The article therefore sticks to what Show TV confirms instead of adding an unverified explanation.

Ali’s revelation threatens Tolga and Özlem’s wedding

The wedding provides the public setting for the episode’s biggest reveal. As Tolga and Özlem prepare to marry, Ali solves a puzzle that shifts the balance between the characters. Show TV’s synopsis says Ali reveals the truth in front of everyone at the ceremony, leaving the people at the wedding table stunned.

The first official trailer identifies the reveal that Ali’s father is Tolga Erez. The preview also signals that a truth capable of changing Tolga’s life is close to coming out. Together, these details turn the wedding into more than a romantic event: it becomes the moment when private history risks becoming public.

How Episode 17 follows Episode 16

Episode 16 left Defne and Kadir at another breaking point. After Ali’s emergency, Defne decided Kadir should leave her life, but he refused to give up and found a way to remain close. Tamer then made Defne an offer that forced her to consider leaving. The Turkish123 Episode 16 guide covers that chapter, including Defne’s departure with Tamer and Kadir learning she has gone.

Episode 17 picks up the emotional consequence of that ending. Kadir’s airport pursuit is a response to Defne’s choice, while the wedding reveal takes the separate Ali and Tolga mystery into a public family setting. The two storylines now run in parallel: Defne must decide what she wants from her future, and the people around Ali must face information that could change their relationships.

Why the episode’s two storylines matter

The airport conflict and the wedding secret create different kinds of suspense. Defne, Kadir and Tamer’s triangle is about choice, trust and whether a relationship can be repaired after repeated hurt. The airport is a literal deadline: once the plane leaves, Defne’s next step may become harder to reverse.

Ali’s storyline works on a wider family level. His birthday gift and the truth revealed at the wedding connect a child’s identity to adult decisions and long-kept secrets. That contrast gives Episode 17 more than one emotional center. The romantic question is whether Defne will leave; the family question is what changes once the truth about Ali is spoken in front of everyone.

This episode also shows why Kadir and Tolga’s rivalry cannot be separated from the rest of the cast. Their choices affect Defne, Ali, Özlem and the families around them. Show TV’s official series page describes Defne as a woman who has built an independent life and now has to reckon with the effect Kadir and Tolga have on it.
