Volkan Keskin is a Turkish actor known to viewers of Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı. TRT lists him as Demetrios, a character on the Byzantine side of the drama. That perspective adds tension to a story in which the defence of Constantinople and Mehmed’s campaign shape the wider conflict.
Rather than telling the conquest only from the Ottoman court, the series also follows the people who oppose Mehmed’s plans. Keskin’s character belongs to that political world, helping the audience see the stakes on both sides of the city.
